BETTER EARTHING SHEET FABRIC
Experience deeper sleep and better circulation on the only Australian-made Earthing sheet that is designed as an undersheet or underlay.
Better Earthing Undersheets contain 15-20 times more silver fibre than standard earthing sheets with the grey grid. They work very effectively through your favourite cotton fitted sheets.
Machine wash every 6 months when you place your earthing undersheet under two regular cotton (or any natural fibre) fitted sheets.
Earthing sheet fabric is special. It contains 99.9% pure silver coated fibres that are spun into threads and then woven with cotton, nylon or sustainable fibres like Tencel.
WHY 15 X MORE SILVER?
Standard earthing sheets have 3% silver coated fibre and 97% cotton in their fabric composition and usually have a distinctive criss-cross or grid pattern (see image below on the right). The grey grid is the silver fibre. With only 3% of the fabric containing silver fibre, you need to touch the earthing sheet directly with your skin to earth effectively.
Our custom made earthing fabric has 15 times the amount of silver coated fibre when you compare the percentage of silver in the fabric. We use at least 50% silver fibre in our fabric, and offer two choices of fabric in our current range.
BETTER EARTHING SHEET FABRIC – SILVER FIBRE WITH TENCEL
Our signature Earthing fabric contains silver coated fibre (50% of the fabric composition) and Tencel (50%). Tencel is a strong natural fibre that is sustainably produced from Eucalypt trees. We chose Tencel as it makes a stronger fabric than bamboo, and is more environmentally friendly to produce. This fabric is 140 gsm (grams per square metre) and grey-silver in appearance with a strong shine from the silver fibres (made in France). If you look closely, you can actually see the silver threads in this fabric.
COMPARING STANDARD AND BETTER EARTHING SHEETS
Manufacturers of standard earthing sheets with 3-4 % silver coated fibre often measure the quantity of silver fibre using the length in metres of silver thread. We generally refer to the silver fibre amount as a percentage of the fabric rather than metres as we find this a simpler measure and not dependent on the size of the product.
OUR EARTHING UNDERLAY DESIGN
With over 15 times more silver coated fibres in the fabric, you actually don’t need to sleep directly on the earthing fabric to have a very effective earthing experience.
We think that’s great because we find it more practical to have an earthing underlay or undersheet, that sits directly underneath our regular fitted sheets.
There are some very good reasons for this.
• You can still use your favourite sheets.
• There is much less ‘wear and tear’ on the earthing underlay due to less washing and less body oil build up on the silver fibres.
• Your regular cotton fitted sheet helps protect the underlay from body oils which coat the silver fibres and reduce conductivity.
• 15 times more silver means far more tolerance to body oils and lotions coating compared to 3% silver earthing sheets.
These combined make for a much longer lasting product.
WONDERING HOW THE EARTH’S FREE ELECTRONS PASSES THROUGH YOUR REGULAR FITTED SHEET TO YOU?
Conductive channels are created in your normal bed sheets via the slightest of body moisture or humidity. The earth’s free electrons travel through these conductive channels from our highly conductive earthing undersheet. You can verify this with an autorange multimeter or see our video below. Our earthing sleep system gives up to 100x reduction in A/C voltage through jeans, t-shirt and regular fitted sheet! From our testing, this is stronger than direct skin on contact on regular 3% silver sheets.
We recommend that you use your earthing underlay with fitted sheets made from natural fibres like cotton, bamboo, tencel etc, and contain little or no synthetic fibre like polyester. Natural fibres absorb moisture easily, making them better conductors of free electrons from the earthing undersheet.
